About the Book:
Nina Breslin figures the sexy man she meets on the Baker Street Tube is eons out of her league. Dr. Eduardo Ruiz needs a break from the heart-breaking reality of his job. And when he finally introduces himself to Nina, they agree to an outrageous plan. Can they play by their own rules, or will they succumb to the pull of seduction?
Nina is a Canadian, living and working in London. Recovering from the blow to her self-esteem and heart when her fiancé turned out to be an utter moronic and cheating lout, she has one week left before she heads out on a tour of the continent, Convinced she is boring and less-than desirable, her goal and dreams now center around a fling on her trip, or several flings if she is being honest.
Eduardo is a haematology pathologist: dedicated to his work, reserved and quiet. Convinced that he cannot give a woman what she needs, his preference is to remain self-contained and self-sufficient: even if that also means alone. Both have noticed one another: Nina saw the stunningly gorgeous Spaniard dashing into a hire car in the morning. He notices the joy and vitality that emanates from her being, her smile and her perfect proportions.
This novella was fast-paced and cleverly drawn: the two characters have their own battle scars and reasons to distrust in others, but their attraction is so patently obvious that it is amusing they can’t see it for themselves. Add to that Nina’s passion for oddly provocative Shakespearean quotes and their double entendre, and the flirtatious interactions are among some of the best I have read this year. For those of us who like a little steamy action in the story –I swear there were a few moments that my eReader was sweating. All moments of levity aside, this was a fun and quick read characters that are well defined and developed, that grow in their own selves and manage to develop a connection in spite of their fears.
I received an eBook from Entangled Publishing, LLC for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
